anyhow, we’ve recently added some cool new features to simply confess. when you now confess, your country’s flag will automatically be placed beside the confession!

in addition, you can now receive advice from Mayssaa J Koussa! she’s here to help you get through your worries and your problems. ask questions, share your problems and opinions about various topics and subjects, subjects that sometimes you can’t discuss with your friends and family members either publicly so everyone can see or privately just you sand her. please feel free to post anything that you feel like sharing or confessing by clicking here.

rude/offensive words are now censored. any confessions or comments which have such words will automatically be replaced with ***.

it’s a moral issue and a political issue. some countries want to ban things that are considered against the culture or ethics of their country. western countries are talking about censorship mainly for nasty adult sites that I won’t mention here because they’re too horrible for words. clearly we don’t want these around and we certainly don’t want to encourage them or even have them available.

unfortunately, governments decide which sites are deemed inappropriate and these can range from Wikipedia to music sites. [ source : http://tr.im/lwmO ]

for example, who would have thought that http://www.flikr.com would get blocked? sadly enough, it is here in the Dubai.

so we wouldn’t want http://www.simplyconfess.com to be deemed inappropriate with an inappropriate use of language, would we?

this is to inform you that i’ve changed the architecture of the website. it’s now built in a way that will allow me to moderate the confessions and comments in a much faster way in addition to creating new functionalites on the fly. the reason for the moderation is because there are lifeless idiots out there who like to mess around.

the current design is a temporary one. a brand new look and feel will be applied as soon as the designers are ready.

for any suggestions / comments, don’t hesitate to contact me.

although targeted to Middle Easterners, this site will not close doors to folks elsewhere who wish to experience the feeling of letting it out.

how are you guys doing? Alright, as the title says, you will find below some of the updates on the website along with some important points you should know about.

1) Some confessors are posting comments as confessions. These comments will be placed in their appropriate places.

2) Since the website is open to the world, “maybe” some words will be censored. ( e = 3, s = 5, o = 0, i = ! )

3) You can now vote for both, confessions and comments. On every single confession, you will see 2 links. a) embrace and b) disbelieve. As the name says, you can either embrace the confessor or disbelief him/her. Be careful since you’re allowed to choose only one and you may click only once for every confession. In addition, you will find 2 links under each and every comment. These 2 links are a) helpful and b) useless. This is also for you to vote if you think the comments posted by others were helpful or they were useless.

4) Some posts / comments that have nothing to do with confessions will be removed. I’m aware that there are idiots out there who like to post useless information but i believe that there are more good people and this is why i do not want to moderate the posts before displaying them. i’m actually trusting you. A feature will soon be added where you will click to vote if the confession should be removed or not.
5) On facebook, if you haven’t joined the group (here) or haven’t become a fan (here), please do so to receive updates, news, and sometimes confessions where i would like you to place your comments.

6) Keep reading the privacy page every now and then to see what sort of information may be accessible to everyone. here

In case you haven’t read the privacy page on the website or you’re not on facebook to received some quick updates that are sent every now and then, your emails will NEVER shared with anyone! The only information which may be used and shared is the country you’re confessing from. ( Ex: statistical purposes )

i’ve received the following anonymous email:

I appreciate your taking my advice about the comment box. It looks a lot better now. I’ve still got a little itch about something here which you might consider scratching … All blue colored menu items “Categories”, “about”, and “contact” don’t seem to be clickable until u actually do … Not pretty intuitive in my opinion, and it’d help a bit if you change the mouse cursor when hovered upon. Out niggz!

the above has been taken into consideration and will be updated soon.

Another minor bug is happening on twitter. As soon as someone confesses or comments with content that includes ” ‘ “, it’s being cut and thus the link is not displaying correctly. This will also be fixed soon!

this is to tell you that simply confess is not anymore in it’s beta phase anymore

the site has been modified adding extra features such as listing the confessions based on categories and the ability to display your quotes on every page.

Last but not least, there was a slight change in the design/logo!

This is to inform you that the new structure of the website has been complete. New categories have been added also.

Just couple of fixes here and there and will apply it.

I’m sure you’re getting annoyed by having to access the confessions page and browsing through the list to see if someone has commented on yours.

You don’t have to anymore. All you have to do is click on the “subscribe” link near each confession, enter your email in the textbox, and VOILA! You will be subscribed to the chosen confession, whether yours or someone else.

Note that the unsubscribe link is available in the subscribe page.
